Offbeat / Abstract
The four photos below are from the days of film and darkroom. I took a number of identical photos of a bank building. Then I soaked the negatives in water until the emulsion (the part of film with the picture) became soft. I "deconstructed" the building in different ways, scraping off pieces of the emulsion (leaving black areas) and leaving some of it on the film (which made white areas). I took the photos in Albuquerque, NM.
Although I usually prefer photos that aren't processed to alter the color (for instance, to make it artificially bright and saturated), I like to completely alter colors to make a photo more abstract. Here are some examples:
